Objective To investigate the value of penile somatosensory evoked potentials (DNSEP) in forensic identification. Methods Fifteen patients with erectile dysfunction (ED) and 13 normal controls were retrospectively analyzed. Results The latency of P40, N50 and P60 in ED patients was prolonged and the amplitude of P40 was decreased. There was a significant difference between the two groups (P <0.05). Conclusion The somatosensory evoked potentials of the penis can objectively evaluate whether the subjects have penile erection neural path injury and can be used as auxiliary examination means of forensic identification.
