我厂2号高炉1989年易地扩容大修后,于1990年11月5日点火开炉。炉喉钢砖由冶金部包头钢铁设计研究院设计,由包钢二冶施工安装,钢砖由包头铸钢件厂铸造加工。 1994年8月2号炉停炉喷补炉衬,检查炉喉钢砖时,只有东南面一块(从正西合门壁砖顺时针方向数,第26块砖)下部2/3处鼓起一个包。其主要原因是钢砖下部耐火材料脱落,当时怕影响布料,建议将鼓包割掉。后来感觉影响不大,没割。其余钢砖基本完好,下部有轻微烧损变形。
