Toshiba Semiconductor and Storage Products Inc. announced that it will expand its 650 V silicon carbide (SiC) Schottky barrier diode (SBD) portfolio by adding TO-220F-2L insulation package products. Four new products will expand the 6A, 8A, 10A and 12A line-outs of existing TO-220-2L packages. Mass production shipments start today. SBD is suitable for a variety of applications, including server power and power regulators for photovoltaic power generation systems. In addition, it can be used as a replacement for silicon diodes in switching power supplies, increasing efficiency by 50% (Toshiba
