经济全球化条件下,国家与国家、地区与地区之间的文化交流日益频繁,西方文化迅速扩张,消费文化日益盛行,文化呈现出世界趋同或融合的趋势。在以美国为代表的西方强势文化的侵袭下,许多国家的民族文化认同产生危机,国家文化安全受到严峻挑战。文化全球化带给世界的影响深刻而复杂,既促进了许多国家和地区文化的发展与创新,又造成地区和国家间文化冲突加深,精英文化的生存、发展面临威胁,欠发达地区和国家的民族文化被发达国家尤其是美国的强势文化所蚕食、吞噬,或者被边缘化。应对全球化挑战的文化根基是优秀的民族传统文化。大力弘扬民族优秀传统文化,在当前有着特别重要的意义和紧迫性。上下五千年的中国历史文化内容丰富,内涵深厚。同时,中国传统文化又是一个精华与糟粕共存的庞杂的文化积累。要坚持用马克思主义的科学精神和社会主义现代化的时代要求,科学扬弃传统文化,以冷静、客观的态度辨别精华与糟粕,去芜存菁,继承和弘扬优秀传统文化。
