据卫生部2006年数据统计:全国仍有8500多万农村人口饮水条件没有得到改善,还有8600万农村人口仍在饮用仅做了初级改进后的水,水质亟待提高。全国无害化卫生厕所普及率还不到33%。除上海、天津等个别省市外,各地无害化卫生厕所普及率普遍偏低,尤其是大部分西部和北方省份无害化卫生厕所普及率在10%以下。
According to the 2006 Ministry of Health data statistics: there are still more than 85 million rural population drinking water conditions have not improved, there are 86 million rural people are still drinking only primary improvement of water, water quality needs to be improved. The nationwide sound sanitation toilet penetration rate is less than 33%. Except for some provinces and cities such as Shanghai and Tianjin, the prevalence of decontamination toilets in various places is generally low, especially in most western and northern provinces where the penetration rate of decontamination latrines is below 10%.
