我国富产钛铁矿,缺少天然金红石。金红石是制造电焊条的主要涂料。在三相电弧炉内用碳粉还原钛铁矿中铁的氧化物,使二氧化钛富集成为高钛渣,经渣铁分离,再经氧化焙烧可制取人造金红石。此方法生产工艺复杂,耗电量大,产量又远远不能满足电焊条工业发展的需要。根据电炉冶炼的原理,试用固相还原法,将钛铁矿与碳粉按比例成型,装入反射炉中进行高温焙烧,还原钛铁矿,用以制造电焊条的涂料,可以代替人 China’s rich ilmenite, the lack of natural rutile.
