1972年春,美国在对越空中攻击中,首次大规模地使用了激光制导的自由下落炸弹,并取得了惊人的成绩。从此空中攻击进入了一个新时代,装备着激光目标照射器和激光制导炸弹的飞机,以前所未有的精确度攻击敌方的补给线和设施。至今,激光武器系统已经被、或将要被各主要国家空军所采用。本文讨论了用于空中攻击的激光系统的一些主要发展。
In the spring of 1972, the United States made the first large-scale use of laser-guided free-fall bombs in its attacks on the air and achieved remarkable results. From there the air attack entered a new era of aircraft equipped with laser target irradiators and laser-guided bombs, attacking enemy supply lines and facilities with unprecedented precision. To date, laser weapon systems have been or will be adopted by the major national air forces. This article discusses some of the major developments in laser systems used in airborne attacks.
