这两年,国内的美术批评家都开始画起画来,美术批评界的新锐谢海也不能免俗。而实际上,谢海最初就是成就于绘画的,他的水墨画(包括书法)作品在十年以前就已频频入选国内外一些重要展览,而且在一定的范围内颇有影响。 作为批评家,直到30岁,谢海都只是一个小人物,因为他一直在写着一些无关痛痒的文章,甚至没有策划过一个上规模的展览。而当他在进入批评家和策展人角色不断互换过程时,他开始在一种新天地里流连忘返:“我觉得这样过得很愉快。”谢海说:“在他们眼中,我是一个策展人或者是批评家,但对我而言,与艺术家交流的感觉太美妙了,而且,我还获得了许多写作和创作的灵感”。
