吴光宇(1908.6.5-1970.11.21),原籍浙江绍兴,生于北京。1924年毕业于北京汇文中学。早年受兄吴镜汀影响,习山水画。后转攻人物画,师从徐燕孙。1926年参加中国画学研究会,担任助教。后任教于京华美术学院、北平艺术专科学校。1957年被聘为北京画院画师。上世纪六十年代,曾于河北美术学院、鲁迅美术学院、西安美术学院授课。中国美术家协会会员。擅长工笔人物画,长于历史人物画。艺术上慕唐宋画风,又受民间壁画及民间戏曲艺术影响。兴趣广泛,爱好京剧
Wu Guangyu (1908.6.5-1970.11.21), born in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, was born in Beijing. 1924 graduated from Beijing Huiwen middle school. Early influence by brother Wu Jingting, landscape painting. After the transfer of human figure painting, teacher from Xu Yansun. In 1926 to participate in Chinese Painting Research Association, served as teaching assistant. After teaching at the Beijing Institute of Fine Arts, Peking Art College. In 1957 was hired as Beijing Art Academy painter. In the sixties of last century, he taught at Hebei Academy of Fine Arts, Luxun Academy of Fine Arts and Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts. Chinese Artists Association.
