Changes in ventricular pressure and wall tension caused by increased volume load are the main factors that stimulate the secretion of B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP). BNP is most commonly used to identify dyspnea induced by congestive heart failure, but BNP levels are physiologically affected by age, gender, and to a greater extent, body mass index (BMI), and more importantly, a variety of non-congestive heart failure The clinical disease will cause elevated BNP levels. This article focuses on the changes and significance of BNP in non-congestive heart failure.
