AbstrActThe importance of the survival of the manuscript folios of the sūtras and tantras in the collection of the Tabo monastery in Himachal Pradesh is well known to the Buddhist scholarly world. Eleven manuscripts of theAvata?sakasūtra have been identified among the Tabo corpus.1In total, about 90 folios of the four different manuscripts correspond to theGa??avyūhasūtra that belongs to the last section of theAvata?sakasūtra-corpus. What is interesting to note is that some portions of theGa??avyūhasūtra wall inscriptions are available in the text of the manuscripts that are labelled as T 143 and T 268. The present paper makes an attempt to compare and translate the portions of the text available in manuscript number T 143 and T 268 and wall inscriptions and offers its textual comparison with the Sanskrit texts of theGa??avyūhasūtra.2
