The Balkans have always been one of the war-strictest regions in Europe and the world. In 1453, with the fall of the Ottoman Turkish Empire upon Constantinople and the Byzantine Empire, Muslim culture entered the area and became a relatively mainstream culture beyond Orthodox culture. In the 20th century, the two world wars brought irreparable harm to this region and power politics infiltrated this region. Due to special historical reasons, its films also show a different style than Europe and the United States.
