Since the Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee, our party and the government have always adhered to economic construction as the central task, focused on the construction of material civilization and on the construction of spiritual civilization with one hand and the reform and opening up on the other hand while punishing corruption. While the party Central Committee with Comrade Jiang Zemin as the core leads the entire Party and the people throughout the country in its economic development, it regards grasping the work style of building a clean and honest government and fighting corruption as the major event that affects the survival of the party and the country.
