学用脱节是当下国内高校课程教学体系普遍存在的一个问题。例如,在法律服务国际化环境下,很多高校都设置了法律英语专业,开设了相应的课程,为部分学生将来从事涉外法律事务奠定基础。但由于教学目标不够明确、教学模式和教学手段单一,以及教师复合能力较为欠缺等问题,严重影响了教学效果。以ESP理论来研究和探索法律英语课程教学体系的构建,探索和创新教学模式和教学方法,可以实现互动教学模式,发挥案例教学法的优势,把课堂知识传授和实践活动结合起来,是一次成功的“学用结合”教育教学体系改革探索。
