The coexistence of genetically modified and non-genetically modified crops is a priority area for the EU following the threat of genetically modified foods and health and safety threats. The core concern is that the coexistence of genetically modified crops and traditional crops and organic crops may cause economic losses and compensation for the latter. In essence, Food caution and worry. Although there are disputes over the concrete implementation measures of the coexistence issue, the EU does not have any legally binding documents so far. The EU’s attitude of promoting the legislation of the member states is very positive and stands in stark contrast to the reality of the relative negative and lagging laws of the member countries.
