当代史编纂出现了多种体裁，但现有体裁还远不能满足当代史研究多层面、多视角的广泛需要，不能适应当代史内容日益科技化、专业化、复杂化的特点。创造适合现实社会需要和当代史内容新特点的新体裁，实现体裁的多样化，是当代史工作者面临的紧迫任务
There are many kinds of genres in the compilation of contemporary history. However, the existing genres are far from meeting the needs of multidimensional and multi-angles of contemporary history research and can not meet the increasingly scientific, specialized and complicated features of contemporary history. To create a new genre that suits the needs of the real world and new features of contemporary history, and to diversify genres is an urgent task for contemporary history workers
