中国魅力城市的颁奖词这样评价温州:一座小而干练的城市,也是一个善于分工也乐于使用合力的城市,一个喜欢以小见大更会以小搏大的城市……她,四射的魅力,也引来了五湖四海的宾客,包括五大洲的洋专家。据温州市外事办介绍,目前,在我市文教、经贸、科技、卫生等领域工作的外籍专家就有186名。这些不同肤色的“新温州人”,不仅带来了国外先进的教育模式、管理经验和生产技术,也把温州视为“第二故乡”,不断地融入温州这片土地。他们为温州的建设倾注辛劳汗水,播撒文明友谊。去年底,亚历山大等15位在温外国专家收到了珍贵的礼物——市政府授予的第四届“雁荡友谊奖”称号。为了表彰为我市经济社会发展做出突出贡献的外国专家,我市于2003年起评选“雁荡友谊奖”。迄今,已有53位在温外国专家领此殊荣。获第四届“雁荡友谊奖”的外国专家有10人是在我市各大院校或中学工作,有5人在企业工作。这里,我们特别策划推出“洋专家的温州生活”专题,以平实的文字、生动的画面刻画了五位洋专家,他们分别是日本的铃木贵子、澳大利亚的莫瑞斯、美国的巴洛、意大利的内利亚和菲律宾的卓尔。
