从群众中来,到群众中去,是近年来新华社新闻业务改革的指导方针之一。在今年新华社工作会议上,新华社总编辑南振中同志代表新华社党组正式提出,要把“群众需要”作为新闻业务改革的推动力:就国内而言,新闻业务改革的推动力是人民群众日益增长的精神需要尤其是对新闻文化的需求;就海外而言,新闻业务改革的推动力是受众对新华社播发新闻信息的现实需求和潜在需求。为落实新华社党组的要求,近年来,新华社在两会报道、邓小平同志诞辰100周年报道过程中,进行了多项受众需求调查和媒体用户调查。2007年1月29日至2月9日,新华社新闻研究所媒介市场调查研究中心和新华社营销总平台合作,在全国范围内进行了一次两会报道群众需求问卷调查,了解群众对两会的关注点与信息需求,为两会报道更好地把握需求、服务百姓提供参考建议。
