演技派演员侧重于从人物的外部出发,是通过借鉴演员自己的记忆积累、观察、想像,去设计角色的声音,动作,生活状态等等。本色演员侧重于从自我出发,在自己身上挖掘出与角色相似处加以放大或扩张而角色毕竟就是角色,并非演员本身,每个角色可以说是都需要再创造的,因为除了外表和个人习惯之外,每个人的性格还要受情感、智力、爱恋、思想、道德等等的影响。要更快、准的塑造个性鲜明真实可信的人物形象就必须从自我出发,外部并行,这两种方法是相辅相成的。
