C5 petroleum resins are polymers producedwith byproduct cracked C5 cuts in ethyleneproduction as raw materials through separa-tion and polymerization. They can be used asadditives for adhesives, inks, rubber anchor-ing agents, paper sizing agents and variouscoatings. With the improvement of produc-tion technologies, the development of newvarieties, the expansion of application sec-tors and the increase of market demand, pe-troleum resins in China have entered a stageof rapid development and the average annualgrowth has reached 12% in recent years.
