海水中溶解氧含量与海水物理、化学、生物等因素有着密切的联系。其通常随海水温度和盐度升高、氧分压的下降、浮游植物光合作用的减弱、动物呼吸作用的加强及有机颗粒的氧化等而降低。而河口港湾水体的溶解氧含量除受上述诸因素的影响外,还受江河淡水的注入、潮汐运动和沿岸排污等因素的影响。本调查期间,厦门港湾水体溶解氧含量的测值在3.00—7.60ml/L之间,平均值为5.17ml/L;氧饱和度在81.4—132%之间,平均值为102%,属富氧水体。溶解氧含量和氧饱和度的高值区多出现在宝珠屿以北海域,低值区多出现在九龙江口附近。其时空变化主要受水温、大陆径流、生物活动、水体的潮汐和垂直运动等因素的影响;氧含量的周年变化受水温控制,氧饱和度的周年变化主要受生物活动的影响。
