In recent years, the reason for many ships to sail around the world is neither war nor commercial trade, but three humble boats that broke the 80-day cycle of the Earth published by Jules Verne in 1873, Global navigation record created by Felix Fokker. All three ships are sailing boats, the purpose of which is to compete for the victory souvenir engraved with the name of Jules Verne. The “Spot-Elec” sailing boat set the highest record. In 1997, it took only 71 days to complete a global voyage through Horn of South Horn, the southernmost point in South America. This achievement proves that high-performance modern sailing boats are fully capable of sustained high-speed voyages off the coast.
