Bulk delivery of new aircraft will lead to dramatic changes in aircraft repair technology. As manufacturers continue to strengthen control over the new generation of aircraft and engine aftermarket, maintenance companies need to invest more and develop new repair technologies or they will miss out on growth opportunities. According to Oliver Wyman’s forecasts and surveys in 2015, there will be 20,000 new generation commercial aircraft to be delivered in the next 10 years, of which 9,000 will be used to replace the currently operating aircraft. The company’s survey also shows that by 2020 global after-sales service
