太平天国烟、酒、赌、娼的禁令，对天国的兴起和发展起过积极作用。在太平天国控制区，社会风习有明显改观；但天国领袖们无法战胜由于自身腐化和外部抗拒势力对诸项禁令的腐蚀，在天国控制区域内，社会黑暗现象远没有禁绝。
The ban on tobacco, alcohol, gambling and prostitution in the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom has played a positive role in the rise and development of the Kingdom of Heaven. In the areas controlled by the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, there has been a marked change in social customs; however, the leaders of the Kingdom of Heaven can not overcome the erosion of various prohibitions due to their own corruption and external resistance. In the territory controlled by heaven, social darkness is far from banned.
