In recent years, the degree of accumulation of the information industry in southern Jiangsu has obviously improved. From Suzhou to Nanjing along the Shanghai-Nanjing line, the basic framework from point to line has been gradually formed. At present, 89 of Fortune 500 companies have invested in 188 projects in Suzhou, a large part of which are electronic information projects. In 2001, the total proportion of foreign-funded enterprises in the information industry in Jiangsu Province reached 77%, while that of Suzhou was as high as 97%.
