水是生命之源,土是万物之本,水土保持工作对改善河南省水土流失地区的生产条件和城乡生态环境,促进经济社会发展,起着十分重要的作用。河南省的水土保持经历了几十年的不懈努力发展,取得了显著的成就,但与河南省生态省建设和全面建设小康社会的总体要求相比发展速度仍显缓慢,今后的任务还很艰巨。现在,摆在我们面前的一个突出问题,就是如何加快水保生态建设,以适应人们不断增长的物质文化需求。
Water is the source of life. Soil is the essence of all things. Soil and water conservation work plays an important role in improving the production conditions and urban and rural ecological environment and promoting economic and social development of soil and water loss areas in Henan Province. The soil and water conservation in Henan Province has undergone several decades of unremitting efforts and has made remarkable achievements. However, its development speed is still slow compared with the overall requirement of building an eco-province in Henan Province and building an overall well-to-do society, and the task ahead will be still arduous . Now, one outstanding issue before us is how to speed up the ecological construction of soil and water conservation to meet people’s growing material and cultural needs.
