Experimental studies have confirmed that combined use of chemotherapy and radiotherapy can achieve better results in enhancing tumor cell killing, weakening damage to normal tissues, controlling distant metastasis of primary tumors, and improving tumor patient survival. Single use of radiotherapy could prevent the growth of Lewis lung cancer in C_(57)BL mice, but single dose levels of cyclophosphamide (CTX) could not. However, when the two are combined, Lewis lung cancer metastasis can be inhibited more significantly, and the cure rate and the survival period can be prolonged.
