康柏Deskpro EP C333及Deskpro C300A近期正式走向市场。康柏根据“由市场决定需求”的品牌策略,为那些寻求简单灵活、便宜、并且采用最新技术的商用PC用户专门“配置”的这两款机型,分别采用英特尔Celeron333及Celeron300处理器(均带有128K Cache),并具有康柏特有的“立式台式可转换”机箱,EP C333的硬盘更是达到6.4GB,SDRAM标准内存达64MB,这两款机型商场参考价仅为13000元及10000元。从内部配置看,Deskpro EP C333及EP C300A采用的是英特尔第二代Celeron芯片。众所周知,Celeron是英特尔专为低价PC而推出的处理器,但也正是为节约成本,英特尔在Celeron第一代产品中去掉了二级缓存,由此造成一定程度上的性能局限。代码为Mendocino的Celeron 300A和333的诞生使情况大为改变。据有关评测,配备128KB二级缓存和32KB一级缓存的Celeron处理器较第一代产品性能提高几十个百分点。由此可见,采用C333和C300A Celeron处理器的Deskpro EP在保证价格适宜之外,性能上也是毫不逊色的。从机箱结构上看,Deskpro EP机箱宽大,机身为灰白色,面板简洁明快。最新奇之处是可采取“立姿”、“卧姿”两种形式。这种立式台式可转换机箱设计可以依照工作空间的需要而灵活变化。
