A 386DX compatible machine, upgraded to Pentium 133 later, more than a set of boards and optical drives, floppy drives and so on. Pity to abandon, then buy some of the devices, want to re-group reuse. The board, floppy drive one by one into the chassis, check the correct boot, everything is normal. However, after moving it to the computer table and then turning it on, the message “FDCControl failure” is displayed. Because there is no hard disk installed, the machine deadlock, unable to enter the system. Since the machine detects the floppy disk control part of the failure, it will be characterized as multi-purpose card failure. After a new card boot, back to normal, the problem seems to have been identified and resolved. However, after running several times, it happened sporadically again. Will it be a multi-function card damage? Dare to rashly try a new card.
