硼是作物生育中不可缺少的微量元素。据化验,我县大部分土壤严重缺硼。几年来,我们在不同的土壤上,对棉花、花生、小麦、玉米、大豆等作物进行了硼肥试验。据试验观察,硼可促使作物根系发达,叶色浓绿,植株健壮,光合产物增多。促使花生、大豆根瘤增加,加强固氮作用,并对棉花“蕾而不花”、小麦“不稔”有明显防治效果。对玉米穗部形态有明显改善,穗粗、穗粒数、千粒重都明显增多。硼肥可基施、追施、喷施,以基施效果较好。基施以1—1.25公斤/亩为宜。喷施时浓度应掌握在0.2%左右。棉花喷施经济效益高,省工省力,成本低。硼肥与硫酸锌、钼酸铵配合施用效果更佳。
