《纽约客@上海》是一部反映美国旅居者和移民在中国遭遇跨文化冲突的典型影片。影片通过叙述美国人在中国的工作及生活经历展示了处于文化冲突中的人们如何处理文化与自我的关系,及在多元文化环境中形成自我人格特征的过程。本文旨在从跨文化人格心理学角度探究移民在文化融入过程中的自我界定、自我调节及自我表达的特点,勾勒移民在文化与人格的动态互动关系中,找到合适的文化依附,重新界定自我的过程。
“New Yorker @ Shanghai” is a classic film that shows that American travelers and immigrants face cross-cultural conflicts in China. By narrating the work and life experiences of Americans in China, the film shows how people in cultural conflicts deal with the relationship between culture and self and the process of forming their own personality traits in a multicultural environment.
