新中国成立以来五十年,中国人民解放军史(以下简称“军史”)的研究可以分为三个阶段进行探讨。第一阶段:1949年10月——1966年5月。这一阶段的军史研究在民主革命时期研究的基础上有所发展。人民群众、人民政府都需要宣传人民解放军,发扬人民军队的优良传统。这就成为推动军史研究发展的动力。这一时期军史著作有:徐宗泽著《中国红军十年》(1951年)、湖南通俗读物出版社《中国人民解放军的故事》(1952年)、黄涛著《中国人民解放军的三十年》(1957年)、解放军画
In the 50 years since the founding of New China, the study of the history of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (hereinafter referred to as “military history”) can be divided into three stages for discussion. The first stage: October 1949 - May 1966. The military history research at this stage has been developed on the basis of the research conducted during the democratic revolution. The people and the people’s government all need to publicize the People’s Liberation Army and carry forward the fine tradition of the people’s army. This has become the driving force behind the research and development of military history.
