英语课文背诵是学习英语的一种有效方法,是知识输入的一种有效途径,它不但可以帮助学生们掌握大量的英语基础知识,而且可培养学生们丰富的语感,以便更有效地进行听、说、读、写各项活动。新的英语教学大纲要求加大语言材料和语言实践的量,特别要注意扩大语言材料的输入量。当然语言的输入有听、说、读、写等各种途径,但背诵这一古老而又行之有效的方法易被忽视。原因有二:1、考试中没有考查背诵的试题,学生中有轻视背诵之风:2、大家对“死记硬背”的批判,使背诵没有得到应有的重视。背诵在语言教学中是很重要的教学手段,特别是在英语课文的教学中,背诵是一种实实在在的语言输入,是学习、积累语言的有效方法,是培养语言能力的基本手段之一。背诵是强化记忆的重要手段,无论是词汇、词组还是习惯表达方式,只有牢记在心,它们才可能变成自己的语言,用起来才会得心应手,信手拈来。通过背诵,学生能加深理解和巩固所学的语法知识,牢记常用词汇、句型及固定表达方式,增强知识的积累,为语言输出奠定扎实的基础。所以本文写作的意义在于改变广大师生对背诵的态度,真正把背诵落实在平时的教学活动中,以提高学生的总体英语水平。

Memorization is an important means to strengthen memory, whether it is words, phrases or habits of expression, only bearing in mind that they may become their own language, it will be handy, come in handy. Through recitation, students can deepen their understanding and consolidation of grammar knowledge, keep in mind the common vocabulary, sentence patterns and fixed expressions, enhance the accumulation of knowledge and lay a solid foundation for language output. Therefore, the significance of this writing is to change the majority of teachers and students to recite the attitude, the real recitation in the implementation of teaching activities in peacetime, in order to improve the overall level of English students.
