Into the second half of this year, the international timber market prices a new round of rising trend. The reasons for this are the many changes that have drawn the attention of all insiders in the world: First, the long-term depreciation of the United States dollar, especially in the most recent period, has caused the relative appreciation of the currencies of the major forest-producing countries (such as the euro , Canadian dollars, New Zealand dollars, etc.). As a result, the net income from the export of forest products in these currencies has been reduced and the efficiency of enterprises has obviously been affected. These big tree-producing countries and their exporting enterprises, in order to get rid of such unfavorable situation. On the one hand, measures have been taken to reduce the supply of wood, while on the other hand, the export price of timber has been raised substantially. However, these countries and regions have the burden of providing nearly 60% of the world’s timber resources. Therefore, the impact of this change on the global timber market is not trivial.
