内蒙古杭锦旗位于鄂尔多斯高原西北部,地处毛乌素沙地与库布其沙漠“握手”地带。总面积1.89万平方公里,59.3%是沙地半沙荒地,属国家级贫困旗。就是在这样一个经济尚不发达的地区,人民武装工作却创造了一连串的骄人业绩。旗人武部连续6年被内蒙古自治区党委、政府和内蒙古军区评为先进人武部;2000年被北京军区评为先进人武部;2001年解放军总后勤部、北京军区、内蒙古军区、国家林业局先后4次在这里召开治沙现场观摩学习会;2002年内蒙古自治区党委、政府和内蒙古军区授予杭锦旗“双拥模范旗”。
Inner Mongolia Hangjin Banner is located in the northwestern Ordos Plateau, located in the Mu Us desert and the Kubuqi Desert “handshake ” zone. The total area of 18,900 square kilometers, 59.3% of sandy land semi-sand wasteland, a national poverty flag. In 2000, it was rated as an advanced armed forces by the Beijing Military Region. In 2001, the PLA General Logistics Department, Beijing Military Region, Inner Mongolia Military Region and State Forestry Administration successively In this meeting, the governing party of sand control was held here. In 2002, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Party Committee, the government and the Inner Mongolia Military Region awarded Hangjinqi a “double-support model flag.”
