With the goal of minimizing the average vehicle delay time, an optimization model of multi-intersection signal real-time configuration in single intersection and linear area is established, which is solved by the combination of outer penalty function method and pattern search method to solve the problem of non-differentiable function. The algorithm is simple and feasible .
