In today’s society, people live in the encircling of the image, whether public space or private space, the image is almost ubiquitous and silently infiltrates into our work, entertainment and life with its rich expression form. High-tech images trigger the aesthetic values of the surface and create a series of fascination with appearances, possibly even to appearanceism. This article attempts to explore how images in a new media environment can lead audiences to become addicted to appearances and trigger distorted perceptions of appearances.
