朝鲜半岛高丽王朝(918-1396)时出现了高丽青瓷,在陶瓷历史上赞誉颇多,有“高丽秘色”之美称。翡色青瓷与象嵌青瓷是朝鲜半岛瓷器发展史上的两颗闪耀的明珠。美如春水的色泽、精致繁丽的造型特征与独具特色的象嵌技术使得高丽青瓷在世界陶瓷史上占据了举足轻重的地位。而与中国一衣带水的地理环境位置也决定了中国与朝鲜半岛历代交往不息的史实。朝鲜半岛自汉以来便深受中华文化的影响,而中国,是世界上最早成功烧制青瓷的国家,这使得朝鲜半岛的瓷器发展受到一定程度的来自越州窑,以及一些北方窑口的影响。
