Jamshid Jahanbakhsh Tehrani, chairman of Makran Steel’s board of directors, said the titanium reserves at Fanuj produce 30 million tonnes of titanium concentrates annually for 400 to 500 years. Fanuj is located in the province of Sistan-Baluchestan in Iran, which has an estimated 3.6 billion tons of titanium reserves. The mine is expected to have 30 titanium deposits, each with an annual production capacity of about 1 million t.
