16至18世紀耶穌會士來華傳教的二百年間,有不少賬簿或財務報告,連同信件經由澳門寄往歐洲。18世紀末,歐洲人已知通過這些賬簿來了解中國。近年比利時學者高華士(Nol Golvers)對魯日滿(Franois de Rougemont)常熟賬簿及其反映的當時中西關係的研究,是一個成功的範例。筆者在20世紀90年代與澳門檔案學者劉芳女士合作,整理葡萄牙東波塔檔案館藏清代澳門中文檔案,以及近年對明清之際文化名人、華籍耶穌會士吴漁山進行研究的基礎上,對吴漁山主持嘉定教務時期的賬簿,作了初步探討。在考證賬簿的發生地爲清初江南傳教中心上海附近的嘉定,賬簿的發出人爲康熙中後期嘉定堂區的管堂司鐸吴漁山之後,繼而從物價、貨幣、消費和社會生活,從嘉定堂區會衆與活動,堂區經費來源與開支諸方面進行清初社會經濟史、天主教史的探索。將清初天主教史置於同時的社會經濟史背景下進行研究,爲本文的主要思路。
During the 200 years between the 16th and 18th centuries when the Jesuits came to China for missionary work, there were many books or financial reports sent to Europe via Macao. In the 1990s, the author collaborated with Miss Liu Fang, a Macau archivist, to compile the Chinese files of the Qing Dynasty in Macao from the East Porta Archives of Portugal, and on the basis of a study of the cultural celebrity and Chinese Jesuits Wu Yuanshan in the Ming and Qing Dynasties , Made a preliminary discussion on Wu Yushan presided over the books of Jiading revision period. In the textbook account for the beginning of the Qing Dynasty Jiangnan Missionary Center near Jiading, accounting books issued by the late Kangxi Jiading District Priest Wu Yunshan, and then from the price, currency, consumer and social life, from the Jiading Hall District congregations and activities, parochial sources of funds and expenditures aspects of the early Qing economic and social history, the exploration of the history of Catholicism. It is the main train of thought that the study of the history of Catholicism in the early Qing Dynasty was put under the background of simultaneous socio-economic history.
