革故鼎新 合上改革开放大节拍——对晚报优势的再思考

扬子晚报是1986年元旦经中共江苏省委批准创办的。如今6岁零3个月。这张报纸是幸运的。它欣逢改革开放这个历史性机遇。几年中,尽管有过挫折,但始终保持了蓬勃发展的势头。创刊的时候,扬子晚报的日发行量只有5万多份,现在,日发行量已突破46万份,辐射到江苏每一个县乡和与江苏毗邻的一些省。其间,报纸几次提价,没有抑制它的增长。今年元旦,扬子晚报由四开四版扩为四开八版,报价由每份一角提为一角五分。扩版前不少朋友为我们担心,担心扬子晚报发行量会有较大幅度下降。我们自己也 The Yangtze Evening Post was approved by the Jiangsu Provincial CPC Committee on New Year’s Day in 1986.
