《鸿门宴》中有“沛公不胜桮杓”之说。“桮杓”指酒量。汉以前的壶不带流没有柄,左右有耳环,主要用来储存酒浆(图一)。宴饮时,不是用壶注酒,而是将壶中储存的酒倒在樽内(图二),再用杓从樽中舀取,然后倾倒桮(杯)里。在汉代画像石上所刻的宴饮图,席间放着一只酒樽,樽中放着一只杓,旁边放着桮(图三)。主人待客便从樽内舀酒。这种动作叫做“斟”。斟酒,就是用杓子舀酒。后
