Australian antigens have been known as a virus-like body in recent years. Because of the first (1965) was found in a native Australian body, so the name. According to preliminary studies, this antigen has very close relationship with hepatitis B virus (serum hepatitis), so it is also called “hepatitis synergistic antigen” or “hepatitis B antigen”. The antigen is a rich body of lipid-like bodies, under the electron microscope granular, round or tubular, diameter of about 15 ~ 42 nm. In addition to serum also exists in the liver cells of hepatitis patients, recently from the patient’s urine, feces have also been detected. As for whether this antigen is a virus, whether hepatitis virus? Are active in the study.
