徐特立(1877—1968),中国无产阶级革命家、教育家,湖南长沙人。1905年考入湖南长沙速成师范班,毕业后到长沙周南女校任教。1910年到日本考察教育,后参加辛亥革命,被推为湖南省临时议会议员、副议长,湖南教育司科长。后辞职创办长沙师范,任校长,并兼任湖南第一师范学校教员。1919年,提倡并参加留法勤工俭学。1924年回国后创办长沙女子师范,任校长,并兼任湖南省立第一女子师范学校校长。
Xu Teli (1877-1968), Chinese proletarian revolutionary, educator, Changsha, Hunan. In 1905 admitted to Changsha, Hunan crash teacher’s class, after graduation to Changsha Zhounan female school to teach. In 1910 to visit Japan education, later participated in the revolution of 1911, was promoted to the provisional assembly of Hunan Province, vice president, chief of Hunan Education Department. After the resignation founded Changsha Normal, president, and concurrently teacher of Hunan First Normal School. In 1919, advocated and participated in the work-study program. After returning to China in 1924, she founded Changsha Women’s Normal School, became the principal, and concurrently the principal of Hunan Provincial First Women’s Normal School.
