At the 1995 Beijing International Auto Show, Mercedes presented the Chinese audience with its Family Car China (FCC), a compact family-owned car that it claims has designed specifically for Chinese families. This 3.5-meter-long, five-seater sedan is shorter than a traditional car. The body has two layers: the lower engine, transmission, chassis, fuel tanks, batteries and other auxiliary devices; the upper is designed to accommodate passengers. Chinese audience feast for the eyes, while pregnant with a little surprised, because Mercedes-Benz has always been luxurious, noble and well-known, never produce such a miniature ordinary sedan.
