党的十七大把积极推进党内民主建设作为新时期党的建设的一项重要任务,明确提出了尊重党员主体地位,保障党员民主权利的重要思想,这有其历史的必然性。发展党内民主是应对世界民主化潮流、顺应中国经济社会变迁和建设社会主义民主政治的客观要求。
As the important task of party building in the new period, the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has made it an inevitable historical necessity to take active steps to promote inner-party democratization as an important task in Party building in the new period. It has clearly put forward the important idea of respecting the principal status of party members and safeguarding the democratic rights of party members. To develop inner-party democracy is an objective response to the world trend of democratization and to the economic and social changes in China and the building of socialist democracy.
