初读孟养玉先生作品是在一个很偶然的机会。先生一丝不苟的工笔画画让我感到画必如其人。先生的人物工笔画不重脂粉,线条洒脱有力,用色艳而不腻,场面氛围和神情形貌都刻画细致。从笔墨间亦可体会到先生的品性。先生在他的《盂养玉画集》里曾说道,人生是一种期盼、幻想和希望,有希望则有奋斗和拼搏艺术是人们心灵的反映,凭借着各自的禀赋和执著的追求,定能实现更美好的愿望我的经历,从苦难悲伤走向欢乐,它使我若有所悟,终于和艺术结下了不解之缘 The first reading of Mr. Meng Yang is a very fortunate chance.
