由于大中城市出入口干道的功能、性质和交通特性均不同于一般乡区公路。但目前其技术等级与标准仍采用乡区Ⅰ级或Ⅱ级公路的分等与技术标准,这不仅在技术上不合理,且在经济上造成浪费。实际设计时计算车速、路幅宽度、横断面形式、平面布置、纵坡度设计等均应另选指标,对Ⅰ级或Ⅱ级公路的主要技术标准,几乎完全不能采用,这给设计使用造成很大的困难和损失,因此,我们认为探讨城市出入口干道的等级与主要技术指标是公路建设发展的需要,是城市实施规划、设计工作的需要。本文拟对此进行初步分析和探讨。
