今年二月闭幕的省八届人大四次会议,通过了湖北“九五”计划及2010年远景目标纲要,制定了以武汉为中心,以黄石、宜昌、襄樊为顶点,以江汉平原为腹地的“金三角”区域经济发展战略,提出了湖北由内陆地区工农业大省向经济强省跨越的奋斗目标。如何实施“金三角”区域经济发展战略,实现湖北在中部崛起,这既是摆在全省人民面前的一项艰巨而紧迫的任务,也是作为鄂东重镇——黄石的一项义不容辞的责任,更是黄石自身加快发展的迫切需要。当前,黄石面临着加快发展的良好机遇:世界经济发展重心向亚太地区转移,国际资本看好中国;国家已经加快对中西部地区和长江流域的开发,日益重视对老工业基地的改造。省委、省政府把黄石摆在了全省发展的突出位置,围绕推进“金三角”区域经济发展战略,确定的壮大六大支柱产业、形成“三大走廊、七大基地”、发展五个大城市,实施沿江对外开放等规划。都对黄石寄予了殷切的期望。经过建市45年的建设与开发,尤其是
