在炼焦生产过程中,由炭化室推出的赤热焦炭一般采用湿式熄焦的方法,即在熄焦塔内用熄焦循环水将其熄灭。熄焦后的污水经明沟淌入粉焦沉淀池中进行沉淀,然后循环使用。熄焦后循环水的温度一般可达70℃,如果将这部分废热回收利用,不仅可得到相当的热量,同时降低了循环水的温度,减轻熄焦水泵汽蚀造成的叶轮损害,减少熄焦产生的蒸汽对周围环境的污染和减轻对周围设备,建筑物的腐蚀影响。
